Man arrested after alleged sexual assault of BC Ferries employee - CityNews Vancouver

DELTA (NEWS 1130) — A man on board a BC Ferries vessel was arrested following reports an employee was allegedly sexually assaulted on Tuesday.

BC Ferries has confirmed there was an “incident” on the Coastal Celebration, which sails between Tsawwassen and Swartz Bay, on Oct. 22.

“We take every report seriously. BC Ferries has a zero tolerance policy for abuse of its employees,” says Corrine Storey, Vice-President and Chief Operating Officer. “We do have security on board our vessels as needed, and we contact police whenever we require their assistance.”

Cris Leykauf with Delta Police confirms a man was arrested at the Tsawwassen ferry terminal, and was wanted on an outstanding warrant from another police agency.

Due to the ongoing investigation, not many details are being released by BC Ferries or police.
